Officially founded in February of 2007, Team Blabador's roots really started with Parker in June of 2001.  As most Labrador Retrievers are, Parker had a strong love of the water from a very early age. Luckily, we have an amazing dog park nearby that Parker was able to explore many different water activities in. 

As a young pup, Parker began jumping off embankments with great delight.  Never have you seen a dog so happy!  When Colby came into the picture, in 2003, he quickly learned why his brother found jumping to be so fun.  Soon we had 2 leaping labs and many days filled with fun and laughter for everyone. 

In 2006, much to our amazement, we discovered that lots of families with dogs were enjoying this very same activity in a competitive setting.  Now all we had to do was figure out how to get started!  Through various organizations and online forums, we were able to talk with many of these wonderful people about how to start competitive dock diving.  Fortunately there just happened to be a competition in our neck of the woods in February 2007.  Through our discussions prior to that event, we had also made arrangements to get a new puppy that would travel half the country and meet us at our first event.  His name is Abraham.

Team Blabador was now officially on it's way to having one of the most incredibly exciting years ever.  After our first event, it was clear that we were "hooked" and there was no going back.  In 2007, Team Blabador, their humans and doggie cheerleaders, traveled all over the mid-west and east coast, attending 15 events in 6 states. Here is a link to our 2007 Team Blabador video documenting our first year.  This is much better if you have sound on.

It looks as though 2008 is shaping up to be even more jam packed with fun than last year!
